McDonald's Introduces the New Avocado, Spinach, & Egg McMuffin



This healthy and nutritious new menu item is just one of the six new products McDonald's is offering in November. The Avocado, Spinach, & Egg McMuffin's four main ingredients include the whole grain english muffin, freshly sliced avocado, fresh spinach, and freshly grilled egg whites.

Last year McDonald's made history by offering All Day Breakfast nationwide. At first you were only able to receive McMuffin or Biscuit sandwiches.  However, they have since expanded their All Day Breakfast menu to include: Egg McMuffin, Sausage McMuffin with Egg, Sausage McMuffin, Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit, Sausage Biscuit with Egg, Sausage Biscuit, Bacon, Egg & Cheese McGriddles, Sausage, Egg & Cheese McGriddles, Sausage McGriddles, Hotcakes, Hotcakes and Sausage, Sausage Burrito, Fruit & Maple Oatmeal, Fruit ‘N Yogurt Parfait and Hashbrowns (varies by restaurant).

Starting in November the new Avocado, Spinach, & Egg McMuffin will become apart of history and be added to the All Day Breakfast menu.

Green is the New Black!

McDonald's has added a lot more green to their menu. Starting in November you can enjoy a nutritious side salad with any value meal,  cool off with the new kale smoothie, and grab a fruit salad bowl when you're on the go. 


We wanted to see healthier items on the menu and we got them. McDonald’s has a world-class culinary team composed of nutritionists, registered dietitians, and chefs who work to understand what customers want and then make sure the company delivers. McDonald's has switched from ice burg lettuce to premium lettuces like kale, baby spinach, and romaine. It also offers a wider fruit variety. Everyone loved the apple slices, but now we can enjoy and entire fruit salad that includes oranges, watermelon, kiwi, pineapples, and raspberries. 

To get a closer look into these premium, green, veggies, McDonald’s Director of Culinary Innovation and Chef Jessica Foust brings us to the “Salad Bowl of the World” in Salinas Valley, CA where McDonald’s sources its lettuce for its Premium Salads. A blend of romaine, baby spinach, baby kale and red leaf lettuce offers texture, color and flavor for every Premium Salad, made one-by one, everyday.  

 

McDonald's launches its new green menu items on November 2nd, which also happens to be National Eating Healthy Day. Make sure to check the McDonald's website to locate participating locations near you.

Say Goodbye to Artificial Preservatives!



Have you heard? Not only are the tasty McNuggets made with 100% white meat, but these delicious nuggets are no longer made with any artificial preservatives. McDonald's Chicken McNuggets are a healthy treat for everyone.


McDonald's has switched from using antibiotics in their poultry making the McNugget free from phosphates. This is only one of the new initiatives McDonald's has made this year in their efforts of becoming a healthier food alternative. Their new menu is set to launch next month with all new food options. If you loved McDonald's before, you'll love it even more now!
